Mrs. Reem Khalil

Drosos Foundation, Palestine

Our partnership with Art to Heart started as a blend of a dream and passion. The idea was only an image and vision in the mind of its founder and nothing more! The clarity of the idea in Suha’s mind has enabled us at Drosos to imagine the dream with her and embody it as well! Today we see a successful realization of the dream on the ground, which contributed to creating hope and bringing smiles and happiness to the hearts of many children, their peers, and their parents.

Suha Attia

Al Ain Camp (A participant in the handicraft program)

I have a physical disability and always seek opportunities to earn a living. I work with handmade embroidery and accessories, usually creating and selling pieces upon request from neighbors in the camp. I joined a handicraft course with Art to Heart to learn new skills and practiced them at home. I also participated in a local exhibition for three days to display and sell my products. Recently, I created Facebook and Instagram pages to promote and sell the handmade products I produce with dedication.

Sima Abu Sham’a

Mother of two daughters

As a mother of two daughters, I seek places that help them grow, connect, and enjoy their time, especially during summer. Art to Heart was the perfect choice—an inclusive space where children with and without disabilities learn, create, and build friendships. My daughters love joining its programs and always look forward to spending their holidays at the Art to Heart summer club.

Sharaf Dazaid

Accused Performance Curator

Curating the “Accused” performance was an inspiring experience that showed me how art can transform lives, strengthen relationships, and spark pride. Stepping onto the stage as a star, no longer helpless but confident and proud, while the audience rose in applause, was unforgettable. This journey proved how art empowers, uplifts, and restores confidence, dignity, and belonging.

Since 2019, Art to Heart (A2H) has been proud to partner with the Drosos Foundation. Their support has been central to our growth, standing with us through some of the most difficult times from the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 to the ongoing war in Gaza and the...

Clay and Memory: A Workshop Inspired by Sliman Mansour

“On July 13, a clay workshop was held in Nablus, rooted in the land, and inspired by the visual language I’ve spent a lifetime exploring. Organized by Art to Heart in collaboration with the Palestinian Museum, it brought together children with special needs and their families to shape the earth with their hands and imagination.” — Sliman Mansour

Sync Arabi

A commercial flight from the UK to Jordan took less than 5 hours of our lives and, at least this time, we did not require assistance. Sarah Pickthall and I were traveling in excitable bodies high on adrenaline and, having my so-much-more-than-an-access-support-worker...

Mothers of Love Breaking the Biases

In a small house in one of the most disadvantaged areas in the old city of Nablus city in Palestine, four women who are mothers of children with disabilities, decided to speak up and say “Enough is Enough!”. Upset by the bureaucratic system, and the unrealized...

Autism Champion

What impact did Art to Heart have on Muhannad, my son, who has autism spectrum disorder? “Muhannad used to be very shy. Whenever he spoke to anyone, he would speak in a very low voice. But after he joined Art to Heart organization, he changed dramatically...
