We contribute to building an inclusive Palestinian
generation that recognizes persons with disabilities
through a lens of dignity rather than sympathy.
Empowering persons with disabilities through
the power of art to foster a more inclusive

We are a leading nonprofit organization that uses art and creativity to empower persons with disabilities, build better lives for them, and contribute to a more inclusive society.
Our programs are grounded in UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 8, and 10 — contributing to a more inclusive, equitable, and healthy society.

The first art school of its kind in the Nablus governorate — offering children aged 6 to 14 structured, curriculum-based courses in drawing, painting, and crafts. Two semesters a year. A real school, rooted in the community.
We support artists with disabilities in turning their creative work into real economic opportunity -through mentorship, exhibitions, and an active market presence inside and outside Palestine.
Through campaigns, arts-based advocacy, and community events, Art to Heart challenges ableism and advances disability justice - building a Palestine where persons with disabilities are seen, heard, and valued.
Through hands-on training, we build skills and confidence to support inclusion and wellbeing using creative approaches.
From early childhood through adulthood, we offer a complete developmental pathway for persons with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties. Specialist support, arts-based education, and life skills, at every stage of life.
Art to Heart's artists are at the heart of everything we do. Through their work - paintings, crafts, ceramics, and more - they express who they are, connect with their community, and claim their rightful place in Palestinian cultural life.
Watch our Executive Director Suha Khuffash in conversation with Maysoon Zayid — Palestinian-American comedian, activist, and one of the most recognized voices in the art and disability world. Together they discuss how Art to Heart is centering the creative power of persons with disabilities to drive real social change in Palestine.
Art Work By Amnah Hussein (.. More about Amnah)
Art to Heart endorses the social model of disability — people are excluded not by their condition, but by the barriers around them.
We work to identify and challenge these barriers, contributing to a more inclusive society. Inclusion is not a favor. It is a right.
Each gift you share is a powerful bridge between an artist's resilient spirit and the heart of someone new.

Discover the inspiring journeys of our students as they master new skills and find their creative voices. These stories showcase the dedication, talent, and personal breakthroughs that happen when young artists are given the tools and support to excel.
Our achievements are driven by the dedicated partners and donors who share our commitment to the transformative power of inclusive creativity.
Our partnership with Art to Heart started as a blend of a dream and passion. The idea was only an image and vision in the mind of its founder and nothing more! The clarity of the idea in Suha’s mind has enabled us at Drosos to imagine the dream with her and embody it as well! Today we see a successful realization of the dream on the ground, which contributed to creating hope and bringing smiles and happiness to the hearts of many children, their peers, and their parents.

Art to Heart is not the first cultural center in Nablus, and it won't be the last. What sets Art to Heart apart is that it is the first center fully equipped to welcome persons with disabilities, include them in community life, and encourage their meaningful cultural participation. Because 'accessibility' is not only about ramps and adapted facilities — it is about accessible programming, inclusive events, and shifting community attitudes toward embracing difference.

The rise in enrollment in special education compared to before shows a changing negative stereotype. Students are proud to enroll and jobs have increased. Such a specialization was almost nonexistent in Palestinian universities before. Working with organizations like A2H increases study demand and creates more job opportunities for graduates.

I was a little anxious at first. But from the very first day, the team made me feel like a genuine part of this place. The staff accompanied me closely, explained everything thoroughly and in detail, and I never once felt like just a student passing through. What I learned about using arts in the service of persons with disabilities is something I could not have found anywhere else. I left with real skills, solid confidence in myself, and a completely different way of seeing things. I completed all my internship hours — and if I could go back, I would not hesitate for a moment to do it all again. I recently got a job, and I feel confident in myself.

We are building an inclusive Palestine where art serves as a powerful language beyond words, empowering persons with disabilities to create, connect, and contribute with dignity and justice alongside everyone else.
