From early childhood through adulthood, Bridges for Life accompanies persons with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties at every stage of their development. Two connected programs – Early Intervention for children ages 4–15, and Bridges Club for youth and adults 16+ – offer specialist support, arts-based education, life skills, and a community where everyone belongs.
For Children with Disabilities and Learning Difficulties, Ages 4-15.
This Early Intervention Program offers specialized, individually tailored support for children with disabilities and learning difficulties at a critical stage of their development. The program is delivered by a team of social workers, specialists, therapists and special education teachers.
-Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) — Individually tailored therapeutic sessions delivered by specialist therapists to support behavioral and developmental progress.
-Special Education Support — Structured learning sessions addressing academic and developmental needs for children excluded from or struggling in mainstream education.
-Life and Social Skills Development — Age-appropriate group and individual activities building independence, communication, and peer interaction.
-Sensory Room Sessions — Therapeutic activities using sensory techniques to support children’s emotional regulation and developmental needs.
-Family Engagement — Involving parents and caregivers as active partners in their child’s development journey.
Bridges Daytime Club is a three-day-a-week structured program for young persons and adults with intellectual disabilities in Nablus. Through arts-based education, life and social skills development, psychosocial support, and artistic and cultural activities, Bridges Daytime Club members build confidence, develop their potential, learn new skills and take their rightful place in community life – not as recipients of care, but as active participants in it.
-Arts and Educational Workshops – Weekly sessions in visual arts, music, and creative production that build skills, self-expression, and confidence.
-Basic Academic Programme – Foundational literacy and numeracy sessions tailored to each student’s level and learning needs.
-Life Skills and Self-Development – Structured individual and group activities developing communication, independence, and personal growth.
-Community and Cultural Participation – Inclusion activities with cultural organizations and schools, and local and international exhibitions showcasing participants’ artworks.
-Economic Empowerment – Specialized mentorship and training in artistic production and product design for students with creative potential .
